Enterprise Car Rentals Provide Reliable Cars

Some people don’t own an automobile.  It’s true, even in America there are still people who don’t have them.  There are also people who have a car but travel to different cities where they’ll need a car.  That’s when rental cars become important.  After careful car rental comparisons, Enterprise is one of the most popular auto rental businesses.  these cars are reliable, cheap, and Enterprise car rentals will pick people up from home, the office or at the airport.

Enterprise has many locations all over the nation. Compact cars, full size cars, sedans and coups are all there for the taking.  Some even offer sporty convertibles.  Hey, if traveling away from home and in a sunny location, why not add some enjoyment to the trip?  The prices are great too.  A weekly rental for under $300 can be a great deal.  Get out the calculator. tTake the bus or train to work each day.  Use the low weekend rates to rent an auto for running around town.  All the car needs are then taken care of for about $60 weekly.  Once price, insurance and all the other car costs are taken into account, under $3500 for a rental year is a lot less than owning.

Small businesses can take advantage of Enterprise’s fleet management.  Lots of companies need a fleet of cars to properly take care of business.  Fleet management is complex.  Maintenance must be considered, as well as insurance and even the selection and purchase.  Turnover is high, cars must be replaced.  It’s best for a company to keep its eyes on its main function.  That’s where Enterprise steps into the picture.

When cars are done with their rental life, Enterprise offers them for sale.  Enterprise maintains their vehicles well.  That goes counter to the impression of a car always driven by non-owners who really don’t care about it.  Enterprise imposes penalties to motivate customers to treat the cars well.  Maintenance is regular, too.  Dealers generally have used cars that were privately owned and not well maintained.

Did you know there was that much to Enterprise car rentals?

More than 21,000 drivers attest to cee’d’s overall quality, reliability and performance

Published by: iCar Automotive News

Kia Motors today announced that its cee’d ranked in first place in the Driver Power’s Compact Family category to beat out Volkswagen, Toyota, Fiat and other notable competitors in the segment. Driver Power is Auto Express’s car owner reliability and satisfaction survey which presents the frank and honest views of drivers in the UK.

“The fact that the Kia cee’d beat the Volkswagen Golf is one of the most significant results in Driver Power’s history,” said David Johns, Editor-in-Chief of Auto Express, on announcing the debut performance of the Kia cee’d in the independent Driver Power survey.

In its Driver Power debut, cee’d jumped straight into the top ten and is ranked as the 6th best model overall.  Highest ranked in the C-segment class, Kia cee’d’s closest rival, the Volkswagen Golf, found itself in 22nd place overall.

David Johns added, “Kia’s class-topping result in Driver Power is proof of how far its cars have come in terms of quality and reliability, as well as image.”  The cee’d result is underlined by an improved performance in the manufacturer’s ranking which sees Kia ranked as 12th overall this year, a jump of two places on last year’s result.

The independent annual Driver Power survey was carried out by Auto Express, in conjunction with the Daily Telegraph, and measured the views of over 21,400 new car drivers across the UK.  The cars they drive are scrutinised and scored on their performance in a number of key areas, including practicality, build quality, reliability, and running costs.

Paul Philpott, Managing Director, Kia Motors (UK) Ltd., said, “What a debut!Kia has come a long way and these results underline our trust in the design, quality and value of our products.  But don’t take our word, our customers are doing the talking through the Driver Power survey.

“Yes, you can pay more for a Volkswagen Golf, but these results ask why.The Kia cee’d has dynamic design, high build quality and frugal engines, all backed by a 7-year 100,000 mile warranty and all for much less.”

Where To Find Antique Cars For Sale

If you are looking to purchase an antique car, there are many different places you can look for antique cars for sale. Whether you are looking for antique classic cars for sale or historical antique cars for sale, there are quite a few different routes you can go.

Ebay Motors: Place For Antique Cars For Sale

One of the best places to look for antique cars for sale is on Ebay Motors. This website is a branch off of Ebay. On it, you can list your antique cars for sale or any vehicles for sale. Likewise, you can browse through the ads and find something that interests you. Most of these listings are auctions for antique cars for sale. If the seller does not have a reserve on it, chances are you can purchase the antique car for a very reasonable price. Sometimes the antique cars for sale are listed at specific “buy it now” prices and that is the only price the seller is willing to accept for it. If this is the case, then the sale is not an auction.

Craigslist

Another great place to look for antique cars for sale is craigslist. Craigslist is an excellent place to look for antique cars for sale. This is another site that is like Ebay Motors. However, it is not an auction site. An auction site allows you to bid on vehicles and even if you put a bid in on it, you are not guaranteed to win the auction. Craigslist is just like classified ads. People post their antique cars for sale and hope that someone wants what they are selling. For most people, if the ad is still up and you can see it, the vehicle is still for sale. Remember to actually go check out the car that is for sale before giving the seller any money. There have been cases of cheating where sellers allure potential buyers knowing that he or she has several thousand dollars in their pocket. They then beat and mug the potential buyer—there never was an antique car for sale. Make sure you go out at least one time to see the car before bringing cash to purchase it with.

Classified Ads

If you are not internet savvy, there are always the classic classified ads that you can look through. Antique cars for sale is still registered in the classified by many people, and there is probability that you can find a great deal that way.

Audi Q7 more efficient

By iCar Automotive News

The Audi Q7, the company presents on the Shanghai Car Show has a different look. But not only the exterior has changed, technically the car has undergone some changes too. “The fuel consumption is reduced on all the models. The press release talks about the fact that the new Audi is als available with the cleanest diesel technology in the world, the TDI clean diesel.

What’s changed? The grille is the most significant one. Vertical bars with high chrome finish gives the model an extra luxury look. The bottom section may be painted in black or gray. When the lights go on the street lights up in Cool Blue illuminated. Yeah, the Audi Q7 is equipped with Xenon lighting or an adaptive system with Xenon lights. This means the headlight to the car rotate with the steering angle. Around the new Audi is equiped with LED lighting.

Extra efficiency
All gasoline and diesel engines for the new Audi Q7 have direct fuel injection. The same goes for the Audi Q7 3.TDI Clean Diesel. The 3.0-liter V6 TDI has a DeNOx catalyst with AdBlue injection. It’s AdBlue additive ensures that nitrogen oxide is converted into harmless gasses. The exhaust system ensures that the Audi 3.Clean Diesel meets the strictest emission standards in the world, which is expected in September 2014 takes effect. The Audi Q7 3.0 TDI clean diesel fuel allows an average of 8.9 l/100 km in fuel consumption.

The other engines for the Audi Q7 are also more efficient. Mainly because of the recovery system that convert mechanical brake and roll energy into electrical energy and stored in the battery. This system provides a lower fuel consumption and therefore lower CO2 emissions (reduction up to 5 g / km).

The 3.0 TDI with 176 kW/240 hp is satisfied with 9.1 l/100 km. Audi Q7 4.2 TDI (250 kW/340 hp) rides on an average of 9.9 l/100 km (was 11.1 l/100 km). The Audi Q7 V 12 TDI (with a power of 368 kW/500 hp) consumes despite its high-performance 11.3 l/100km. The average consumption of the 3.6 FSI petrol version (206 kW/280 hp) is 12.1 l/100 km and the 4.2 FSI V8

is 12.7 l/100 km.

The standard of luxury and top comfort on this Audi. Through the six speed tipronic transmission you control the quattro permanent four-wheel drive, you have got air conditioning and a good hi-fi and if you are not yet fully satisfied, you can opt into a B & O sound system, complete with infotainment system for your navigation, telephone and music. The Audi Q7 4.2 TDI and 6.0 TDI has air suspension with three preset modes (comfort, automatic, dynamic) standard. Interesting options are brakes with ceramic disc brakes, adaptive cruise control, Audi lane assist, the Audi parking system and comfort seats.

New LED Car Lights Becoming Rapidly Popular

New cars and those that have been retro fitted with the new innovative LED lights can be spotted from miles away. Their beams shine a much cleaner and purer white light and they illuminate all they hit with more detail than is possible from standard bulbs. These lights are more popular than ever now and selling faster than they can be produced. but how come they are so good?

Firstly they provide much higher quality light that aids driving. Wolfgand Huhn, Audi’s lighting exert said recently “everyone who has seen these lights in action is not only astonished by the excellent output but also thrilled with the homogenous distribution of light and the agreeable, daylight-esque colour of the light.”

The LEDs have proven to have much great efficiency than the standard car bulbs.  The average energy consumption of the lights in a car using normal bulbs is around 200w while a car fitted with the new LED’s will only demand around 15watt of power. What this means is than fuel consumption can actually be reduced and their is less strain put on your battery. This in turn helps you do right by the environment as CO2 production will be reduced.Your finances are likely to benefit too from the LED lights as not only are you saving money on fuel but also you’re likely to need never change the bulbs.

Lastly, these innovative lights will act to increase driving safety. Their reaction speed can be up to 10 times quicker than incandescent bulbs and with a purer, higher quality light obstacles can be spotted easier. Their durability means that there is less chance of a bulb going out and leaving you in the dark. Now that the new lights are being used for both high and low beams, and even indicator lights and licence plate illuminators, their benefits are now able to be multiplied.

The Ford Ka: Cheapest Ford Car By Far

So what’s the cheapest new Ford money can buy?  Pat on the back if you answered Ford Ka, shake of the head if you didn’t (the answers even in the article title!)  Yes after a staggering 13 years, the Ka is still going strong, but now it’s had a makeover…

To coin a well ploughed phrase ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’ and to be honest despite its advancing years the old Ka didn’t look dated and still drove the wheels off the competition.I used to drive the Ka when I didn’t fancy taking my Triumph Spitfire for a spin and always found it a riot, with the 1.3 litre engine pulling a car that weighed as much as a bag of sugar along at a fair pace.  Even though it was bubble shaped it still handled well, even if the skinny tyres started to let go if you were overeager.

It was a fashion accessory as much as a car, the type of item you’d find sticking its head out of a handbag rather than being topped up with oil.  It was a cheap Ford too with new ones starting from as little as £4,995.  Yes there was painted metal on the inside of the doors rather than sumptuous leather and ok the gear stick just stuck out of the floor like a van, with no attempted aesthetics, but it had charm.

So when I tell you the new Ka is a million miles away from this you’d be right to start worrying.  The first thing that strikes you is how grown up the new version is.  It’s still very funky but is essentially a Ford Fiesta that has been put in the wash on too hot a temperature.  This however is no bad thing as the new Fiesta is not only a great drive, but a brilliantly styled vehicle.  The Ka isn’t quite as pretty although without my glasses on I couldn’t tell the difference so it can’t be too bad.

To drive, the car is very similar to the new Fiat 500 – in fact it’s the same.  The reason for this is quite simple really; both the Ka and 500 are built in the same factory in Poland using the same parts. That’s correct, the new Ka isn’t a completely new and unique design after all.  Don’t despair though as partnerships are not necessarily a bad thing, just look at Starsky and Hutch or Tango and Cash.  The 500 is a hoot to drive and therefore so is the Ka, with it feeling every bit as nippy and fun around the city as a small car should be.

The interior is a massive improvement on the outgoing car, including a space-age centre console finished in silver and matching art deco door handles.  Even the gear stick now looks good as it protrudes from the dashboard, falling easily to hand.  The seats are firm but hold you in place well and the driving position is good unless you’re over six foot.  When you consider the majority of Ka ownership is women I don’t think this will be an issue.

One thing that will be however are the headlights.  For all the good in the rest of the car, it must be pointed out that they are dimmer than an asbo child with a pea for a brain.  On normal beam I had to keep checking they were on, when I switched to full beam the situation got worse as oncoming traffic kept flashing and blinding me to say my lights were too bright, yet the switch to full beam made no discernable difference from the driving seat.I had a similar problem with my current car and bought some high powered (but legal) replacement bulbs that have improved things significantly.  I suggest this is the first accessory you buy for the new Ka.

I feel I’ve put a dampener on the new Ka, but for it to remain a ‘cheap Ford’ in the current economic climate, GM had to be sensible and build it in collaboration with Fiat and unfortunately the headlights have slipped through the net.  No matter, the rest of the car is just as good (with a far superior interior) to the old Ka, just with a more grown up feel that does make the oldie look a tad dated when parked next to each other.  The 1.2 litre Zetec version costs £9,295 and returns an impressive 55.4mpg, resulting in a measly road tax cost of £35 for the year.

Just think with all that money you’ll save you can buy as many replacement bulbs as you like.

Top gadgets for the car

The car gadget industry is growing on how many are released every year. The most popular can be fitted and unfitted easily which is especially important when you’ve got a car contract hire. All of these gadgets are just some of my personal favourites.

The light up car signal.
A great way to tell people what you really think about them, even better write out how’s my driving, I dont really care. Brilliant for those who love a joke.

Econav
Doesn’t compete with the main rival tom-tom but it’s great for everyone who loves to be environmentally friendly as ot chooses the most fuel-efficient route to take.

Safe to keep your valuables in the car.
A perfect way to hold most of the other gadgets in. Many of these safe’s can be attached to the car without any mess however, what happens if your whole car gets stolen?

A breath tester to read the alcohol levels.
Great for a laugh on a night out or for seriously seeing if you have gone over the legal limit. Not sure having one in the car is the best idea as if you’re drunk and in your car you will still get arrested but there you have it.

Dad’s cab
I know that my dad always moans about taking me everywhere, I just wish i had the luxury of being able to afford lessons! This will leave me even more short in cash as each journey is recorded just like a proper taxi. Great idea for dad’s to get their own back.

The fan which is great for non air-con cars.
Perfect for all the cars without air conditioning in the car. A good idea for when it’s just too much in the summer.99 you cant go wrong at all.

A speed camera alert gadget.
A good gadget to have if you don’t realise that you are slightly over the limit. You have enough time to slow downl, a simply brilliant gadget. The police still roam the roads and it cant tell you where they are!

The Tom-Tom
Got to be the best gadget out there. Great for when you want Homer Simpson to be saying Doh! whenever you have missed a turn as well as avoiding arguments.

Most of these gadgets are removable which is brilliant if you are always changing cars. Car contract hire is a brilliant idea and you can carry the gadgets from perhaps a Punto all the way to as top of the range Audi with a Audi contract hire.

Car Technology change

Just how far has the car industry come in recent years? From being a luxury way back in the 1930’s to the cheap affordable way you can buy them now using car contract hire it is amazing just how far they have come.

The knowledge of the games industry is the best way I can talk about the change in technology. I’m going to go back to the days of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System or SNES for short. I could cover the first ever racing game but seeing as I was only really around from the realease of the SNES it is best that I only cover the time after this. F1 Pole position was one of the first driving games I ever played, for it’s time of 1993 it was a brilliant game.

Jump ahead just four years see’s the release of F1 pole position 64 on the Nintendo 64. It is amazing to see the difference between the two games. The 2-D to 3-D jump that took place between these two games was huge and it shows. However the next major jump doesn’t come for the next generation of consoles as the only difference there is improved 3-D graphics but the new F1 game on the PS3 is so realistic looking, it’s almost a waste of time watching it on T.V.

Of course the transition did not just happen to the gaming industry, there have been many advancements in the technology of the car over the same period of time. Without a doubt the best invention to come to the industry of cars has to be the Hybrid car. When the world’s oil supply runs dry Hybrid cars will most certainly be one of the main solutions to solve the problem, at least in the car business. The newer Hybrid cars have a better system in that when you brake the car, more power gets put into the battery.

Some of the other technology in the car is fantastic such as the touchscreen’s and the never to be forgotten tomtom system.

The Hyrbid car is only going to increase in sales (after the recession that is) and will certainly be the car of the future, but for nowl, you need a car that is both decent and afforable. Spend a lot less money on a leased car? The Audi contract hire looks pretty good as well as being as little as £214 a month.
